Solar Heat Output
The Solar Max can maintain a comfortable room temperature in a 1000 square foot dwelling with only 15 minutes of sunlight per hour. (Other factors can offset energy savings such as the energy efficiency of the house envelope.)
The Solar Max is a high quality forced air solar heater producing 1200 - 2400 watts of free heat from the sun.
Air Circulation
The 100 cfm fan is set from inside the home to limit room temperatures. The Solar Max uses inside air, which reduces the exterior cooling effect of the unit and is proven to work well even at temperatures as low as -20◦ Celsius. The forced air fan ensures enough air flow and heat exchange to significantly raise the indoor temperature.
The snap-disk air control check valves ensure that reverse cycling of air is not possible, thereby eliminating any possible cooling effect from the unit when not in use.
Energy Cost Reduction
With increasing energy costs, solar heating is one of the best ways you can reduce your home heating costs.
The Solar Max can realistically supplement 10-15% of your heating costs / based on only one unit in an average to smaller size home. Larger homes will greatly benefit from multiple Solar Max units. (Seasonal conditions will vary results)
